Administrators at CHRISTUS MUGUERZA® Hospital Alta Especialidad in Monterrey, Mexico, made special efforts to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction during treatment in the hospital's new CyberKnife™ Radiosurgery suite. A large four-part Luminous SkyCeiling and several Luminous Virtual Windows provide impressively realistic views to nature, vital biophilic elements in the enclosed, vault-like suite. Entering the suite, or lying on the treatment platform, patients view open expanses of pristine natural beauty, a scientifically verified promoter of relaxation and stress relief.

The wide continuous blossoming landscape is broken into three separate Luminous Virtual Windows. By removing sections of the image (the bare wall spaces inbetween correspond to portions of the image not shown) our mind's eye fills in those spaces with a perceived sense of continuity. This greatly enhances the perception of space, depth and realism of the installation.
