Lewis Cancer Center CyberKnife
At the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion (LCRP)at St. Joseph's/Candler Health System in Savannah, Georgia, advanced technology and compassionate care combine to create one of the most innovative oncology programs in the Southeast. It was named in honor of the generous support provided by Nancy and J.C. Lewis, one of Savannah’s most philanthropic families.
The LCRP’s CyberKnife radiation treatment facility brings this leading-edge cancer treatment modality to the Savannah region. The CyberKnife suite also incorporates leading-edge biophilic technology, a very realistic illuminated photographic sky ceiling mural, to the cancer treatment environment. The impressive Elliptical Luminous SkyCeiling provides a stunning image of an overhead tropical sky—high resolution photography, perfect color reproduction, deep three-dimensional effect—along with daylight-balanced lighting. The palpable sense that one is under a warm tropical sky is very relaxing and also distracting for patients who may be anxious about their treatment.
