Jefferson County Health Center
Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield, Iowa opened the doors to its new facility in April 2009. The design, by HGA Architects and Engineers, works to make the facility environmentally and patient friendly by incorporating natural light where possible to add warmth and comfort to the surroundings, as well as reducing electrical usage.
Some interior spaces in the hospital without natural light incorporate Sky Factory's virtual skylights to provide an expansive and relaxing influence. Luminous SkyCeilings enhance the patient experience in the hospice suite, the ultrasound room, and in Radiology's CT scan suite.
Construction of the facility was managed by Carl A. Nelson and Co. of Burlington, Iowa.
