Joseph Coon Residence
Homeowner Joseph Coon came up with a great solution for people who want a SkyCeiling but don't have a hung modular ceiling. At the local building supply he found a flush mounting ceiling grid product into which he mounted a set of our Ambient SkyCeiling tiles. "The product I used to make my grid is called "CeilingMax" (ceilingmax.com), a PVC type material, easily cut to size with tin snips, and then mounted directly to the drywall or joists with 1" drywall screws," says Joseph. "The "cross-T's" are manufactured to the correct size (no cutting), snap into the "top hanger," are very flexible, and make tile installation easy. Once tiles are in place, a "runner" is snapped into place to secure the "cross-T's", and that's it. Materials cost a few dollars, and in less than an hour the project was complete."
"We've had nothing but "oohs and ahhs" from people who have seen our Ambient SkyCeiling, or pictures of it. Everyone who sees it raves about the SkyTiles and how realistic the ‘skylight' looks!"
"I must compliment your company on the help you provided: initial ordering; the packaging for shipping (excellent protection); installation instructions; right down to the pair of cotton gloves you supply for handling the tiles! Also, the color-coded corners on the tiles are a great help."
