The Norwegian Hospital in Oslo, Norway, was founded in 1932 and now forms part of Oslo University Hospital.
This 4’ X 8’ EcoSlim Luminous SkyCeiling was installed in the Diagnostic Radiology MRI suite to enhance the patient experience with an illusory view of open skies.
The virtual skylight is designed to create the perceived expansion of enclosed interiors by providing a series of environmental cues—color temperature of light, high resolution digital photography, calibrated printing, architectural elevators, and more—that the eye and brain reassemble back together using an ingrained habit of perception called amodal perception.
