The new Prostate Center, designed by Reynolds, Smith, & Hills and built by Precise Construction, includes installations of Sky Factory Luminous SkyCeilings in the radiation treatment and CT suites.
"I've had more than a few people ask me how we put a large skylight in the ceiling of a radiation vault," said Scott Johnson, project manager. "People are quite surprised when we tell them they are looking at a picture."
The large circular SkyCeiling provides a positive distraction and the relaxing benefits of a nature view to people undergoing cancer treatment.
The Prostate Center also features a Rectilinear Luminous SkyCeiling in the CT room.
