Dalston Hat
Dalston Hat, located on Boleyn Road, Hackney, London, is a development of thirty-three individual flats impressively branded by the large top hat over the entryway. Dalston Hat is a unique blend of late nineteenth century charm and early twenty-first century amenities.
The vision of Aurient Investments Ltd's Richard Whitehorn and Menal Mehta, and their architects, to achieve a light and open feeling in the renovated coaching entranceway was achieved by the installation of a 6'x8' Sky Factory Luminous SkyCeiling. This stunningly realistic virtual skylight is set back into a deep soffit, drawing the eye to the open space of a sunny sky above, helping to transform the transition between interior and exterior into a delightful, illusory surprise.
