Mount Dora Surgery Center
In October of 2009, Regent Surgical Health opened a new ambulatory surgery center in Mount Dora, Florida (constructed by Stevens Construction Inc.) featuring a large Luminous SkyCeiling in the recovery area over the nurse's station. The architects, Jass & Associates Architecture, in keeping with the strong green approach pursued throughout the building, incorporated the SkyCeiling as a "biophilic element to promote well-being and healing."
Joyce Deno, Regent's COO Eastern Region said of the SkyCeiling, "The Sky Factory feature has enhanced our patients' surgical visits. The sense of nature, peace and calmness permeates the recovery room area. It is the talk of the community!"

Patients recovering from surgery are treated to a restful view of beautiful skies and overhead trees. Equally important, the nursing staff is provided with a restorative experience of always sunny blue sky.
