Maria Sklodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center
The Maria Sklodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center and Institute of Oncology in Gliwice, Poland, is one of the leading academic medical research institutes in Europe, as well as a noted oncology treatment center. The Institute added an Accuray CyberKnife to its treatment modalities in early 2011.
Keeping patient comfort in mind, an 8'6" Circular Luminous SkyCeiling was also installed in the suite. This combination of high-technology radiotherapy along with a profoundly beautiful biophilic element in the treatment environment has proven to be especially successful at both treating cancer and helping patients alleviate stress during their treatments.
