Wyong Mental Health Hospital
The main lobby to Wyong Mental Health Hospital features a 4’ X 6’ Luminous SkyCeiling, a welcome sight for new patients and family members as they enter the hospital. The installation is part of a series of installations dedicated to enhance the patient experience across several New South Wales (NSW) Mental Health Facilities, spearheaded by Gamma Gurus, a company that specializes in imaging suite equipment and software.
Several of the therapy rooms were also outfitted with Sky Factory’s unique Digital Cinema systems. Some rooms feature an eScape 2.0, a virtual window that combines feature-length 4K footage of undisturbed nature—real time video and audio of select vistas, while other rooms feature eSea, the virtual aquarium.
Wyong Hospital is one of two acute hospitals serving the region. It is located in the Central Coast of Australia, between Sydney and the Hunter Valley, and belongs to the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), providing public health services to the communities of the Central Coast Council.
